Pickering is a historic market town and the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and attracts a large number of visitors throughout the year. The Memorial Hall is a a particularly attractive building, extensively refurbished, and situated just opposite the Beck Isle Museum and close to the famous North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway.
